The Silver Award is a two year process. In the first year:
SGF Assessors check all your school's safeguarding policies and procedures are up to date and statutory compliant.
We work with your DSL to review the school's Single Central Record, internal systems used to check it and processes used to populate the SCR.
We will review, with the DSL, how your school hears the child's voice and engages with parents and carers.
As part of the Silver Award your school will get access to a suite of documents designed to cover KCSIE, staff training guides (updated monthly) and tailored content for newsletters including video.
Your DSL will get access to the safeguarding fundamentals UK and International community network - sharing best practice, innovations and support.
In the second year we will review your schools core policies and meet with the DSL.
We share a common objective, which is to do our part to ensure that the highest standards are met when it comes to the safeguarding of children...
